My brother wanted to design and build his own Canoptek Spyders for his Warhammer 40000 Necron army, but he never did finish his designs as he kept an eye at eBay searching for a bargain and finally he got it. He bought two old metal Canoptek Spyders in a reasonable state and after stripping the layers and layers of paint that they had and a few small minor repairs the were ready to be repainted.

Modified Warbuggy (conversion using an old model)
We acquired an old warbuggy in eBay a long time ago and it was in my brother's and mine to do list to modify it so it looked more current with the actual orks, instead of having a tiny driver and crewman.
The model that we bought in an almost good state and it had the body for the driver of the wartruck instead of the original one. Nonetheless it had some pieces missing like half of the engine that my brother has replaced with a plasticard box. My brother has also added a shooting box for the crewman and more armour plates to protect a little better the bigger driver. In the pictures below you can more or less see all the things that he added.

Chaos Dwarf Earthshaker Cannon (Conversion)
In this post I want to show you another thing from our chaos dwarf army, its Earthshaker Cannon.
It is based in the dwarf cannon from the Battle for the Skull Pass game box set. The conversion is pretty simple, we just added some putty to it to loose its dwarf look and enlarge the mouth of the cannon. To someone that has the chance of having the original 5th edition version it would look like a little small but it is what it is.

Vendetta Gunship for my Imperial Guard Army (cardboard made)
This is another amazing cardboard scratch build made by my twin brother, it would look even better once painted but I haven't manage to do it yet...
To make this model he didn't use any blueprint, he just made the pieces using my Valkyrie Assault Carrier.

Folding Blood Bowl 7 pitch protected in both sides
One of the last pitch I have made was a Blood Bowl 7 pitch and I decided to go a little further protection wise in this one as opposite to the others that you can see in the Blood Bowl section of the blog.
To make it I used:
I use my pitch design so you may have see it in other pitches.
To make it I used:
- 2 mm thickness grey cardboard
- Black Geltex
- A3 size sheets of paper
- Strong glue stick
- Autoadhesive transparent wrap

Penal Legion Troopers conversions
I have two Penal Legion Squads in my Warhammer 40000 Imperial Guard army. Both of them are made using the Catachan Guards plastic miniatures for the penal legionnaires and one Cadian imperial guard as the custodian. I decided to paint their "uniforms" orange as if they where took in a hurry from a prison and there wasn't any time or money to give them more than a lasgun.
In the unit description it is said that:
In the unit description it is said that:
New legionnaires have their heads shaved and tattooed with their insignia. Explosive collars are clamped around their necks. The collars are a disciplinary device, primarily designed to discourage a prisoner from attempting to escape. The blast from one is directed inwards...That gave me an idea, "shaving" the head of all the miniatures wasn't the one, it was to make some collars with green stuff. Nothing fancy, just a flatten putty sausage and a small square part to make the explosive part. Even if it isn't to obivius it gives them a little more aspect of penal legionnaires.

How to make Warhammer Movement trays with cardboard
My brother and I have try to make movement trays with different materials for some time now, improving our method until we have end up with the version that I would tell you how to do in this post.
A movement tray is a tray that allows you to move your miniatures as a unit instead of moving them one by one. In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to do the movement tray that you can see in the picture below.

I finished up my Kroxigor for my Lizardmen Blood Bowl team
I finished some time ago and post it in my Spanish blog but I forget to post it also in this one. If you want you can see the original less muscled Kroxigor that I made for WFB in this post:
http://sirskofisworkshop.blogspot.com.es/2013/11/lizardmen-kroxigor-from-scratch.html
It has been a little unnerving changing the model, and I'm not quite convinced with the end result, nonetheless I consider it finished.

Our first cardboard scratchbuild vehicle: a Land Raider
I have already post pictures of a few of our cardboard creations for Warhammer 40000 and you can see them in the Cardboard Meks section of this blog. But the vehicle that I'm going to show you in this post is a special one, es the very first vehicle that we made. Doing it we learned a lot as it has lots of things that could be improved. The year 2008 was about to end and we decided to make a Land Raider.

Medics for my Imperial Guard Army (conversions)
Sometime ago I made a couple of Imperial Guards with medi-packs to use on my command squads. They are simple conversions but I haven't manage to paint them yet.
Medic 1
This is the most simple one, I just change a little bit the position of his right arm so it wasn't equal to the rest of laspistol arms of my army and add him a backpack/Medi-pack. I add a catachan knife in the left arm and a band where i intent to paint some medic like symbol.

Plague Furnace
My brother bought a Screaming bell/Plague Furnace Box set and decided to build the Plague Furnace. This is the larguest miniature that we have, the tendency of the company is to make bigger and bigger miniatures but we decided not to follow that tendency and stop buying new miniatures. Bellow you can see how my brothers Plague Furnace looks like once he painted it.

Commission: Pirate Ogres (V)
Project finished.
The main change of this post is that the ogres have the weapons now. The client wanted at least a couple of ogres with two handguns and every other ogre had to have at least one. Also two ogres had to have hooks.

Commission: Pirate Ogres (I)
Hello again! Today I want to show you the start of a commission that I did some time ago. The client wanted 9 Warhammer ogres to look like pirates, as he had liked a lot the my brothers conversion. He had another request that was that all the ogres should had a gun in one of their hands.
Below you can see how the project started, with some initial work in 2 of the 9 ogres.

Necron Catacomb Command Barge (cardboard scratch building)
This is another Necron vehicle that my brother has made with cardboard for his Warhammer 40000 Necron Army. Is not exactly equal to the original model but it resembles it just enough to look good in our games, more or less the same thing that happens with his Necron Ghost Arks and Doomsday Ark.

Ogre conversions for a Blood Bowl Ogre Team
My brother has converted 5 ogres from a WFB Bull Ogres box and he also has painted them. He has tried to give them a little more dynamic poses cutting off the legs and/or the feet and also repositioning the arms. He also has sculpted the shoulder pads and helmets with Green Stuff so they are more Blood Bowl like.

Flash Gitz Conversions: Painted
My brother has paint the ork nobz that he converted into Flash gitz:
http://sirskofisworkshop.blogspot.com.es/2014/10/flash-gitz-conversions-using-ork-nobz.html
The pictures that I took of them are pretty bad, it wasn't possible to get pictures of the actual colours, or pictures where the miniatures had the same colours, you will just have to mix the different colours you see to get the real ones.

Imperial Guard Infantry Squad painted
More than a year ago I decided to change the colour scheme for my Imperial Guard Army and I didn't manage to paint more than two test models but this holidays I finally manage to paint a whole Infantry Squad, and I really like the new scheme.
The only thing special of this unit is the sandbag wall for the heavy bolter that I've explained in another post how to make it:

What is a red ball with really sharp fangs?
A Squig
And a red ball with really sharp fangs and a couple of shoulder pads?
An attack Squig!!
My brother is quite busy lately with lots of projects and as he seems to have plenty of time he comes up with new projects and of those was to make an attack squig (and other types of squigs that you will see in the future) but wasn't sure how to do it until he came up with the idea of gluing a couple of shoulder pads to a Warhammer Fantasy Squig so it looks like more Warhammer 40000.
