Skaven Warp Lightning Cannon (scratch building)

Another nice scratch building make by my twin brother is this awesome Skaven Warp Lightning Cannon.

To make it he used a second hand Imperial Great Cannon and he also used the plastic part from the inside of a surprise egg.

My brother has made several skaven symbols in the plastic egg with a hot pin. He also has built a platform using pieces of plastic sprues and plasticard, then covering it with some putty to simulate wood planks.

Plague Furnace

My brother bought a Screaming bell/Plague Furnace Box set and decided to build the Plague Furnace. This is the larguest miniature that we have, the tendency of the company is to make bigger and bigger miniatures but we decided not to follow that tendency and stop buying new miniatures. Bellow you can see how my brothers Plague Furnace looks like once he painted it.

Skaven Warlord mounting a Rat Ogre Bonebreaker

In another post I showed my brothers Skaven Warlord atop of a War-Litter, in this one I'm going to show to you his other Warlord that is mounted in a Rat Ogre Bonebreaker.

Is a conversion using the rat ogre from the plastic screaming bell, the legs of the screaming bell grey seer and other bits from the plague monks and the night runners.

Skaven custom made Ratling Guns (conversions)

My brother have made quite a few conversions in his Warhammer Fantasy Skaven army, I have already post some of them. He made most of the conversions thinking to play with the 6th edition rules and in that moment ratling guns where quite devastating. He made four of them that later on with the 7th edition rules he stopped to use.

He made the ratling guns in two groups, first he made to and then he made another two changing the things that he didn't like in the first two. An example of this is the length of the barrels, in the first two one the barrels where shorter than in his mark II ratling guns.

To made them he used a wide variety of bits and green stuff and putty, for instance the barrels are made with the shafts of some spears.

Skaven Grey Seer (conversion)

My brother bought the Screaming bell/Plague Furnace set and build it as a Plague Furnace, so he had a couple of extra bits that he used to make a Warlord  on top of a Rat Ogre Bonebreaker and a Grey Seer on foot.

Conversion of 3 Skaven into Warlock Engineers

Before my brother started to collect his own Warhammer Fantasy Skaven army, one of our friends was already collecting one. Searching eBay one day we found a Ratling gun that also include some 6th edition skaven clan rats bits and we bought it for him. One of the bits was a torso and I decided to try to make a Warlock engineer using it and other bits, mostly from the sprues of my night goblins that also had some skaven arms in the command group sprue. I made the legs from scratch using green stuff this is one of my earliest serious conversions (end of 2007 beginnings of 2008) and for that reason the GS is not mixed with A+B white modelling putty.

Below you can see the first pictures that I took of the Warlock Engineer.

Custom made Warplock Jezzails (conversions + little explanation on How to do them)

First of all I want to wish you a Happy New Year.

Now about the Warplock Jezzails, they are something that my brother and I did a really longtime ago, that's one of the reasons that in most of the pictures appears "Sir B" instead of Sir Skofis.

Skaven Warlord atop War-Litter (conversion)

Almost every character in my brothers WFB Skaven army is a converted model. One of my favourites is this Warlord on War-litter. The model is full of little amusing details. The first one is the way the Warlord is carried on top of a shield like if he were copying a Dwarf lord carried on a shield by his shieldbearers.
