Our Ogre Kingdoms Warhammer Fantasy Army

Above you can see our Ogre Kingdoms miniatures that we have painted. People that know the current state of the rules for this army will miss a few units with really big miniatures but be still are using the rules that where released during the 6th edition of WFB.

My brother and I loved the idea of having an army of bruthis ogres from the get go and we make a big purchase directly when GW released them. In 6th edition they also had the Dogs of War rule that allowed as to use them with our Dogs of War army. Additionally and this was somewhat important it was easier to paint them as they where big and only a handful of miniatures. The first time that we painted the army we do it more or lest 50-50 between my brother and I but the models that you will see in this post is the second version and they have been painted by my brother only.

To complete the army we also have a few gnoblars that we haven't painted yet and a Hunter with two Sabretusk that hasn't yet be repainted.

Warhammer 40000 Imperial Bastion made with Cardboard

At the beginnings of this year 2014 my brother started to made an Imperial Bastion using cardboard as the principal material. When he finished building it I painted it "concrete" grey with an airbrush and it was left like that for a lot of time, until last weekend my brother decided to add a little more color to it and added a few metallic parts and painted the door with yellow and black stripes.

My brother used to build the bastion mostly cardboard but also masking tape and he give it texture using a mix of sand, plaster, PVA and water.

First of all, you can probably find lots of tutorials like this on the Internet that are better explained as I'm not a native English speaker. Nonetheless, I pick up a few tricks with my experience that can be useful.

Another clarification before I started describing the process is that I try to use the least silicone that I can, as it is a quite expensive product and my economy it's what it is.

In this tutorial I gonna show how I obtained the mold shown in the picture below.

Dragon Teeth, plaster made tank traps for Warhammer 40000

One of the last pieces that I have added to my scenery and terrain elements collection is some tank traps. Basically concrete blocks to slow or block the enemy tanks movement.

I made them with plaster and then sculpted some details. In the picture above they are just placed on top of two bases, not glued, so you can have and idea of how can they look above the terrain.

I painted them with a brush and they have for different shades of colors.

Killa Lanz contribution from DeLeagant

Sometime ago I asked a reader of my Spanish blog, DeLeagant, to send me some pictures of his Killa Kanz. In his words the tutorial made by my brother and I showing our cardboard ork Killa Kans have encouraged him to make his own Killa Kanz. I haven't translated our tutorial but is someone is really interested I can try it.

Slann Mage-Priest from scratch finished

In the previous post I show the WIP of the Slann Mage-Priest that my brother was making for me. The work was almost done but lacked a few finish touches.

Here you have the final result. The vegetation and the lizards were my doing and my small contribution to the project.

Below you can see some pictures of the whole model, but not glued yet to the base (click to enlarge the pictures).

Flash Gitz: Conversions using Ork Nobz

Another project that my brother has been working on lately is the conversion of a few second-hand Ork Nobz into Flash Gitz. Flash Gitz ar zo kool.

As the models were second-hand ones they have a few bits missing and others broken. The idea was to give them a little pirate look, to that purpose my brother has sculpt on all of them some raincoats and I sculpt a few pirate hats. To make the Snazzguns using pieces from different gunsnot always ork ones.
