We're back

Well it seems that since yesterday afternoon it is possible to see the photos of the blog again.

To avoid this problem in the future I decided to upload the more problematic photos to Picasa instead of Photobucket, as it seems that Picasa has not monthly bandwidth limit.

As soon as I can I'll post some new entries to the blog.

See you!

Your account has reached the free 10GB bandwidth limit

It seems that lately I been having a lot of visits to my blogs and to my topics in the forums and I reached the free 10GB bandwidth limit of photobucket.

Lately I've been trying to upload pictures that had more than one image, not because I had problems with the total space in my account, but to avoid using to much bandwidth. Clearly it hasn't been enough.

At the beginning of July all the photos of the blog should be visible again, till then I'm afraid I can't update the blog.

I'm thinking in alternative solutions to avoid having this problem in the future, one could be paying for a premium account but the adds in the blog doesn't work that well =D

Please be patience.

See you at the beginning of July!

Tutorial: Changing WFB Ogres into Imperial Guard Ogryns (conversions)

In this tutorial I explain how I have done the Ogryns for my Imperial Guard Army using Warhammer Fantasy Battles Ogres. I'm sure that if you search the Internet you can find other ways to do it.

Cardboard Space Marine Drop Pods (scratch building)

One day playing a Warhammer 40000 game with my brother I decided to use 5 drop pods. It wasn't a bad experience so I convince my brother to build some Drop pods.

Sorry, I'm busy with other things

Some of my readers will have notice a lack of updates this past week.

I'm afraid I don't have enough time to update this version of the blog right now.

Hopefully, I will have some time this weekend to post a couple of entries but I'm not making any promises.

See you.

WIP: Blood Bowl Chaos Warrior (sculpting)

Hello there!
Today I want to share with you one of the last projects that I'm doing.

As the entry title says, I'm sculpting a Chaos Warrior for my Chaos blood bowl team. The idea is to sculpt 4 different chaos warriors for the team as I don't want to buy the old ones and I don't like using the the Warhammer Fantasy plastic ones with their capes and rather static positions.

Concept Art of my chaos warriors

I started the project by trying to draw my idea of how a Blood Bowl Chaos warrior should look like. The next picture shows what I came up with.

Tutorial: Sculpting flat or almost flat things with putty

In this tutorial I'm gonna show how to do things with putty that are flat or almost and of a little thickness, with a technique that avoids that the putty gets stick to our fingers. I've used this technique to make banners, raincoats, capes or flat things with details in only one of its faces, but I'm sure it could be used for other things.

The tutorial shows in particular how my brother and I made the wing shaped details of our human Blood Bowl Blitzers. At the end of the tutorial you will find other examples of things that I have done using the same technique.

Blood Bowl Human Team

My brother and I made this team using mainly plastic humans from the Empire Free Company box of Warhammer Fantasy Battles. There are also other bits from other Empire plastic miniatures, like the Empire Knights or the 6th edition Empire State Troops, and obviously an ogre.

Translation updates

My brother has just finished reviewing the translations of the most recent articles, he has a better level of English than me as he has spent one year in England.

He has found quite a few mistakes and there is probably more.

I hope that now the articles are more comprehensible.

As always we appreciate all kind of feed-backs. For example, If someone sees something that makes no sense please let us know.

Cheers!
