Cardboard Imperial Guard Chimeras (scratch building)

We have made a few cardboard vehicles for Warhammer 40000 using templates from the Internet.


The first one we made was a Land Raider that was a little too big and we made some mistakes making it. One of these mistakes was not covering the holes of the corrugated cardboard.

The first Chimera that we made was for a friend that was starting an Imperial Guard army and didn't want to spend a lot of money. My brother and I were almost new to the game and we didn't know too well which weapons would be good to mount in the tank.

In this second tank we correct some of the mistakes that we had made in the previous attempt. The tank was make using a combination of cereal box cardboard and corrugated cardboard.

Later, when I started an Imperial Guard army of my own we made two more Chimeras and a Hell Hound. More recently we had made two Hydras but there are not finish yet.

In the next pictures you can see the Chimera that we made for our friend with a turret-mounted multi-laser and a hull-mounted heavy bolter.

I have not pictures of this tank painted.

In the next pictures you could see the Chimeras and Hell Hound for my army, they are also made with cardboard.
