Printable Blood Bowl Pitches: New Designs

A few days ago Captain Kellen contacted me in one of my Spanish blog posts, to ask if I could help him with the Blood Bowl pitch that he was trying to make.

First of all I want to say that I usually update both blogs regularly and if you want to contact me you can do it in any of the blogs; nonetheless, an English comment among several comments in Spanish seems a little out of place. Talking about comments, I strongly encourage everyone to leave comments, its always great to know what people think about the work that we do. Bear in mind  that the "anonymous" profile is active in case you don't have a google account or you are just lazy and don't want to go through the trouble of logging in :-P

Going back to the initial topic, Captain Kellen didn't need too much help, he only needed the lines that delimit the pitch and the crosses of the squares of the pitch. I gladly help him as it was not trouble at all for me, just a couple of minutes of my time. In fact I'm glad he asked for my help; I wanted to add a few things to my pitch design and the need to open the master file was the perfect reason to do it.

Sometime ago I was charged with the commission of a 6 part folding pitch that make me realize that I wasn't using all the space that I have available when printing my pitches designs. I could add a rectangle of about 14cm by 78cm to the design and I will still use the same amount of Self Adhesive Sticker Paper Sheets.

I will probably dedicate and entry to the commissioned field in the future but you can see the results in the pictures below, the pitch not only fold in 6 parts, it is also well protected.

Some Warhammer 40000 Orks

This post in my Spanish blog originally show for the first time the nob bikers, the painboy, the weirdboy and the big mek painted. You  have also see them but I decided to leave their pictures here to save me some trouble and just copy and paste.

I wanted to paint the orks nicely with 2 to 3 layers of paint plus the base layer. But with that system my brother and I only get to paint 5 ork boyz in a couple of year, you can see them in the picture below.

My brother was a little tired of only having 5 orks painted but he didn't want to paint with layers the orks so he decided to paint them using the quick painting technique that I explained in this tutorial. Initially I object a little but he was willing to paint lots of orks and I really prefer to play with painted miniatures.

Homemade Dwarf Bolt Thrower (scratch building)

In this post I want to show you the bolt throwers that my brother made for his Warhammer Fantasy Dwarf Army.

He made them using balsa wood, putty and some plastic bits. He didn't need them any more us he has bought some old wood like bolt throwers that he likes better, so he told me to offer them in my Spanish blog. Now they are no longer in our possession, they belong to someone that was interested in them.

Conversion of 3 Skaven into Warlock Engineers

Before my brother started to collect his own Warhammer Fantasy Skaven army, one of our friends was already collecting one. Searching eBay one day we found a Ratling gun that also include some 6th edition skaven clan rats bits and we bought it for him. One of the bits was a torso and I decided to try to make a Warlock engineer using it and other bits, mostly from the sprues of my night goblins that also had some skaven arms in the command group sprue. I made the legs from scratch using green stuff this is one of my earliest serious conversions (end of 2007 beginnings of 2008) and for that reason the GS is not mixed with A+B white modelling putty.

Below you can see the first pictures that I took of the Warlock Engineer.

How to convert a free company fighter into a Blood Bowl human player

Mephisto from the "BB foro" and also the "Talk Fantasy Football" forum asked me to do this tutorial.

this tutorial is similar to the one where I explained how to convert a skin into BB player but to make a human player. In particular I'm going to explain how I make the linemen for my Human Blood Bowl team, I think is quite easy to imagine how I make the other positionals.

Introduction
For the conversion I'm going to use Kneadite Green Stuff mixed with A+B white modelling putty. When you mix these two putty together you obtain a pale greenish putty.

To work with the putty in this tutorial I use sculpting tools, a hobby knife and my fingers. I kept lightly wet all of those tools so the putty stick to the model instead of the tools.

Dwarf Thane with Army Battle Standard (conversion) + Dwarf Warriors and Dwarf Thunderers (conversions)

A friend of us have lend us for an indefinite amount of time his Warhammer Fantasy Dwarf Army inviting us to painted if we were up to it. The army is composed mostly of 6th edition miniatures plastic and metal.

My brother that truly loves dwarfs have decided to update a little bit our friends army and paint it. He is using the same scheme color of his army but he insists that they are two completely separate armies but truth be tall I think he is planning in using some of the units with his own dwarf army when we play very large games.
